NEWS RELEASE
TOWN OF BRADFORD WEST GWILLIMBURY
*************************
The town is thrilled to share its lineup of fun-filled, action-packed activities and entertainment for this year’s Canada Day celebrations.

Save the date for this annual community favourite set to take place starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 1 at the Bradford and District Memorial Community Centre.

Stage events

Sit back, relax, and enjoy an array of performances on the main stage including busker performances featuring Spencer Scurr Magic and Zola Fire and Hula Hoop, and dance routines performed by Elite Dance Corps. It wouldn’t be a Canada Day celebration without recognizing those who have made significant contributions to our community. Join us at 6 p.m. for Bradford West Gwillimbury’s (BWG) annual official ceremonies and Civic Awards presentation. Our stage events will close following a crowd-thrilling concert performed by the Shania Experience at 8:30 p.m.

Field events and activities

Our Kids Zone is back for this year’s festivities, which will feature fun inflatable slides, obstacle courses, games, and more. Get a stylish (non-permanent) airbrush or glitter tattoo. Then take some selfies at the chalkboard station or the photo frame for a fabulous memento.

Feeling peckish? Food vendors including Bradford Lions, Mister Treats, Sweet B’s, and Jo’s Juice Jazz will be on site selling food and treats. Don’t forget to grab some snacks and lawn chairs, and join us at 10 p.m. for our annual stunning fireworks show.

“I look forward to celebrating Canada Day with our residents and their friends and families. From concerts, busking routines, games, and inflatables, to the highly anticipated fireworks display, you don’t want to miss celebrating Canada Day 2023 with Bradford West Gwillimbury.” — Mayor James Leduc

BWG extends a special thanks to our sponsors who have all played an important role in making this celebration possible: Sabari Orthodontics, Tim Hortons, Bradford East Developments, and Heritage Canada.
