Bradford's annual Pumpkin Fest is back for its fifth year in a row.

The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Henderson Memorial Park located on Line 9 just west of Sideroad 10.

Pumpkin Fest is an all-ages event that includes live on-stage music, busker performances, wagon rides, pumpkin carving (one per child, while supplies last) and a farmers’ market. All activities are free, including an inflatable corn maze, mini-golf and other games, as well as crafts and a caricature artist. The main stage will feature local band ‘The Ninth Line’, along with kid-friendly entertainment and music from Team T & J and Russ Clayton and two fitness classes: Zumba Kids and Bollywood. Special guests include BWG Fire & Emergency Services, who will be providing public education and a visit from the fire truck.

Enjoy food for sale, including a fundraising BBQ by the Bradford Lions and soup from local restaurant Don Cherry’s Sports Grill. If you have a sweet tooth be sure to check out The Munchies Concession (in support of a Bradford Christmas) and Sweet B’s Bakery. The Bradford Farmers’ Market will be extending its schedule by one week in order to bring its vendors to Henderson Memorial Park for Pumpkin Fest.

Preventative measures will be taken to ensure compliance with provincial COVID-19 restrictions and public safety measures. There is no pre-registration required, but capacities will be limited based on the provincial gathering limits for outdoor festivals

Participants will be asked to follow physical distancing requirements and, if that is difficult to do, then wearing a mask is encouraged.  Anyone feeling unwell is being asked to refrain from attending. All event attendees will be required to complete a COVID screening upon arrival.

BWG Public Transit is available on-demand to Pumpkin Fest. Fees apply.

Non-perishable food items will be collected for the Bradford Helping Hand Food Bank. They are in need of the following items: pasta sauce, Kraft Dinner, cereal, granola bars, crackers, canned fruit, baked beans, juice boxes/1 litre juices, soup, peanut butter, rice, flour, sugar, tea, diapers: size 6.

The event will be sponsored by New Roads Automotive Group, the Curtis Goddard Team and Summerlyn Dental.
