Harvest season has arrived at Bradford Farmers' Market

Only a few weeks left for the in-person farmers' market

The first weekend of fall brought in droves of customers to the Bradford Farmers' Market on Saturday morning. 

Held every Saturday in the parking lot of the Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library, the market t is home to both new and returning vendors, selling everything from deserts, jams, marinades, sauces and honey to fresh fruits and vegetables.

Tammy Jackson, owner of Sweet Anabella’s desserts had a large array of pastries and desserts set out for customers on Saturday. Some of her best sellers include flakies with puffed pastry and whipped cream and her butter tarts.  

“In the fall we bring a lot of different pumpkin-flavoured things like pumpkin cinnamon buns or Chelsie buns," she said. 

One of the largest fruits and vegetable vendors at the Farmers' Market is Springh Farms run by Shane Singh and Jenn Taylor.

“We supply some (independent) stores with our groceries, too," said Singh. 

Springh Farms also sells produce directly at their farm stand located at 1169 Canal Rd.

There is always something new to try at the Bradford Farmer’s Market.

The last day for the in-person market is Oct. 8, 2022. But the online market will continue until mid December.
