Lefroy legion 'trying something new' with Easter Hop dance

There were bunny decorations, disco lights, and dancing at the Lefroy-Belle Ewart legion in Innisfil this weekend

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hoppin’ down the bunny trail…

The Lefroy-Belle Ewart branch of the Royal Canadian Legion got into the spirit of the season with its first-ever Easter Hop spring dance.

There were bunnies decorating the walls, disco lights and dancing to music provided by a DJ, for the legion members and guests who came out to celebrate at a light-hearted Easter weekend dance on Saturday night.

“We’re just trying something new,” said Denis Mainville, entertainment co-ordinator at the legion.

Coming up at the Lefroy-Belle Ewart Legion, located at 1017 Robinson St. in Belle Ewart, Innisfil: ‘Trump This,’ an afternoon of Progressive Euchre, May 5 at 1 p.m. Includes an afternoon of cards, prizes, coffee or tea and a light snack, only $10 for 12 games.

And on Wednesday evenings and weekends, during regular hours at the legion, people are invited to drop in to the bar for darts. Play will continue through the summer months.
