New local not-for-profit organization hosting free workshops for teens

The month of May features workshops and events from local businesses and organizations

A new not-for-profit organization, Under the Umbrella, founded by Bradford resident Stephanie Sinclair has recently launched a free online learning series for teens for the month of May.

The events will be held online over ZOOM. Event topics will be posted on Under the Umbrella's social media platforms. ZOOM calls will be open and hosted and monitored through Under the Umbrella Canada's secure ZOOM line.

Events begin May 3, 2021, and run from 7 - 8 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 11 a.m - 2 p.m until the end of May. 

The events are free and will feature the following topics:

Hip Hop and TikTok with Elite Dance Studio

Makeup with Face Studio by Olivia 

Off the Ice Strength Training with Joe Lotto from Bradford Fire & Bulldogs Hockey Association

Get Published! with Community Editor Natasha Philpott from BradfordToday

Yoga with Ananda Yoga Studio

Day-to-day Hair by Washington House Salon

Ask Bradford Town Council 

For every event attended, teens will earn a ballot for a chance to win a prize. Some of the prizes include a Nintendo Switch, two Canada’s Wonderland season passes, and a dinner for two.
