New Sherwin-Williams paint store opens in Bradford (4 photos)

Sherwin-Williams opens with paint sales, and a charity barbecue

The new Sherwin-Williams Paint Store at 508 Holland St. West in Bradford held its grand opening on Nov. 2, with more than just the usual special introductory sales and giveaways.

Firefighters with BWG Fire & Emergency Services came out to lend a hand at the celebration, and host a charity barbecue in the parking lot, raising funds for Daleyn MacIsaac, who is struggling with a rare kidney disease.

Fourteen-year-old Daleyn was recently diagnosed with vasculitis, an auto-immune disease now attacking her lungs and kidneys. She requires dialysis, an array of medications – and will need a kidney transplant.

Fundraising efforts are underway to help the family, which is struggling both financially, and emotionally, in this health crisis.

Among those who stopped by to congratulate market manager Jarid Savoy and Sherwin-Williams Business Development Representative Mark Zebedee were MP Scot Davidson, Bradford West Gwillimbury Mayor Rob Keffer, and members of town council.

They stopped by for a ribbon-cutting, and stayed for a burger with the firefighters.

Savoy thanked them for their support, and said, “We’re looking forward to doing business in Bradford.”

Sherwin-Williams offers over 1,500 paint colours, stains, and painting supplies, for the professional and the home-owner. The Bradford Sherwin-Williams store is located in suite 103C at 508 Holland St. West; for more information, call 905-778-8111.
