Say thanks to health-care heroes at Southlake and across Ontario

The Ontario Hospital Association is asking for video submissions to show appreciation to hospital workers across the province

As the fourth wave continues to put a strain on health-care workers, you have a chance to say thank you to frontline workers.

The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) is encouraging people to record videos or submit messages to express their appreciation of hospitals and health-care workers in the province.

“Now in the fourth wave, our health-care workers are still going above and beyond, working long hours and enduring difficult circumstances in order to keep us safe. It’s time we remind them how much we appreciate their sacrifices as they continue to care for patients,” OHA said in an email to supporters. “Your words of gratitude and encouragement will provide much needed support as they see this pandemic through to the end.”

You can participate by recording a video saying your name, your community, and your local hospital like Southlake.

In the video, you should say thank you to hospital staff and share a short personal story about why their work matters.

The clips are meant to be about 20 to 30 seconds long and are recorded directly on the website

If you want to express your gratitude but don’t want to make a video or think your story would be too long, there is also an option on the website to submit a written thank you note.

The submissions will be shared with health-care workers and some may be posted publicly.
