Bradford, Innisfil drivers face impaired, drug possession charges

If you suspect someone is driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, it is important to call 911 to report it, police say

On Feb. 18, at approximately 9:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police police responded to a report of a vehicle driving erratically in the area of Innisfil Beach Road and Yonge Street in Innisfil. As a result of an investigation, a 22-year-old from Barrie was charged with operation while impaired, dangerous operation and drug possession.

On Feb. 17, at approximately 7 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on 20th Sideroad in Innisfil. The driver was uninjured. As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old from Innisfil was charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol and dangerous operation.

On Feb. 17, at approximately 3 p.m., police responded to a collision involving a single vehicle that had struck a gas meter and fire hydrant on Holland Street West in Bradford West Gwillimbury. No one was injured. As a result of an investigation, a 27-year-old from Bradford was charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol, possess more than one licence and fail to notify change of address.
