Bradford man accused of resisting arrest, assaulting police

A 31-year-old Bradford man faces numerous charges after South Simcoe Police Service officers recently responded to a domestic assault call in Bradford.

Once on scene, a man was arrested for two counts of mischief under $5,000, uttering threats, and assault with a weapon. He was held for a bail hearing and was subsequently released.  

The following day police responded to the same address for a breach of conditions call. The accused was arrested nearby for failing to comply with a judicial release order. An officer suffered a minor injury when the accused resisted arrest. A conducted energy weapon was deployed and the accused was taken into custody.

He was then charged with failure to comply with judicial release, resist arrest, assault a peace officer, uttering threats and theft.

He was held for a bail hearing.
