Bradford man faces numerous child pornography charges

A Bradford man is facing nearly a dozen child pornography related offences in an ongoing investigation.

On Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, the South Simcoe Police Service was contacted by Canada Border Services Agency officers after they intercepted a package that contained child pornography. The investigation led police to a home in Bradford where a man was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021. Police executed a search warrant at the home and seized a quantity of child pornography and several electronic devices.

As a result of the investigation, 36-year-old Jesse Morellato of Bradford was charged with the following offences:
    •    importing child pornography - two counts
    •    possessing child pornography - three counts
    •    mailing obscene matter - two counts
    •    accessing child pornography
    •    distributing child pornography
    •    possession of obscene materials
    •    possession of a prohibited weapon
