Citizen report helps nab suspected impaired driver, police say

A 47-year-old Bradford woman was charged with over 80 and impaired driving after a citizen called 911 to report a suspected impaired driver.

On Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, just after 10:00 p.m., police located the vehicle in the Rutherford Road and Langford Boulevard area of Bradford.

When speaking to the driver, police detected an odour of alcohol and other signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to South Division where breath tests resulted in readings of nearly twice the legal limit of alcohol.

A 47-year-old Bradford woman was charged with over 80 and impaired driving. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days.
