Concerned call leads to impaired charge for Innisfil driver

On Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, the South Simcoe Police Service Police responded to a call from a citizen about a possible impaired driver exiting southbound Highway 400 and travelling eastbound on County Road 88 in Bradford.

Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

As a result of the investigation, 40-year-old Umair Chaudhry of Innisfil was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired; and
  • Operation while impaired - Excess Blood Alcohol.

His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
