Crash partially closes 9th Line, Yonge intersection in Innisfil

Incident occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday

An Alliston man has been charged with careless driving following a two-vehicle crash in Innisfil Thursday afternoon.

South Simcoe police, Innisfil Fire and Rescue personnel and County of Simcoe paramedics responded to the incident, which occurred near the 9th Line and Yonge Street intersection Nov. 9, at about 3:45 p.m.

A westbound vehicle allegedly failed to stop as required and collided with a southbound vehicle.

The driver of the southbound vehicle was transported to hospital with what were believed to be minor injuries.

The alleged driver of the westbound vehicle, a 38-year-old Alliston man, has been charged with careless driving. 

This intersection was partially closed due to the collision but it has since reopened.
