ESSA TOWNSHIP - On January 25, 2020, at approximately 1:39 p.m., members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint in the area of Mill Street in Essa Township.
Officers successfully located the motor vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was subsequently arrested.
Steven Wolsegger, 49-years-old, from Innisfil, has been charged with impaired driving and operation while impaired-over 80 and with open container of liquor. The driver was also issued a 90-day licence suspension and seven-day vehicle impound.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on Feb. 20, 2020, to answer to the charge.
Anyone who suspects an impaired driver by either alcohol or drug is encourage.
