An impaired driver has a variety of charges after police say he drove into a home last night in the city’s south end.
Police received the call at 7:08 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 10) about a truck that had collided with a home on Country Lane.
Before crashing into the house, the pick-up truck struck two vehicles,leaving a significant amount of debris in its path.
The driver of the truck was tended to by County of Simcoe Paramedic Services and police determined he was impaired.
The 21-year-old man from Barrie was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police continued their investigation at the hospital and conducted breath tests which confirmed he was impaired. As a result of the investigation, [the accused] has been charged with:

Young Driver B.A.C. above zero.
The accused was released from custody once the police investigation was complete, and he is scheduled to appear at a Barrie court on Sept. 13.
