UPDATE: Victim, suspect found after reported abduction in Vaughan

Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit are appealing to witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after reports of a possible abduction in the City of Vaughan. 

On Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at approximately 2:50 p.m., York Regional Police responded to the area of Barhill Road and Rutherford Road after several reports came in that a male suspect grabbed a female victim by the hair and threw her into a vehicle described as being a grey or silver Audi SUV. 

The victim is described as female, wearing a light-coloured shirt , jeans and white shoes. 

Investigators are releasing images of the vehicle involved and are asking anyone with information on this incident to please come forward. 

Investigators are also appealing to any nearby businesses or residences that may have video surveillance, or anyone who was driving in the area that may have dashcam footage, to please come forward. 

The York Regional Police Homicide Unit is responsible for investigating suspected cases of kidnapping.
