Near-collision leads to assault investigation

Both drivers got out of their vehicles and it is alleged the suspect assaulted the other driver

South Simcoe Police Service officers are trying to locate a driver and a vehicle involved in a driving complaint in Bradford.

The incident began on Britannia Ave. around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.

A 39-year-old Bradford man said he was reversing out of his driveway and was almost hit by the suspect vehicle that was travelling eastbound. The near-collision occurred because of the man's actions and words were exchanged. The suspect vehicle then left and the man followed.

At the intersection of Colborne Street and Porter Street, both drivers stopped, got out of their vehicles and the suspect (allegedly) assaulted the man. The suspect then left the scene. Paramedics arrived and treated the man for minor injuries. He declined to be transported to hospital and said he would go himself.

Suspect driver is a white man, 5'9", buzz cut and dark brown hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a green overcoat. Suspect passenger is an Hispanic woman in her mid to late 20s. She was wearing a white T-shirt. Her name started with 'D.' Suspect vehicle is a black Chevy Malibu.
