Obscured licence plate and cracked windshield results in charges

On Thursday, May 31, 2018 around 2 p.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officer noticed a vehicle with an obscured licence plate and a cracked windshield travelling northbound on County Rd. 27 in Bradford.

Information was received that the registered owner was under a current criminal code driving suspension for an impaired driving offence conviction.

The officer stopped the vehicle as it turned eastbound onto the 4th Line and investigated the driver.

The 37-year-old Port Elgin man was charged accordingly for driving while disqualified. His vehicle was impounded for 45 days. He has a court date at the end of June.
