Pair of Bradford residents facing impaired driving charges

Two Bradford residents have been charged with impaired driving this week.

At about 4:50 p.m. Monday, a South Simcoe Police Service officer stopped a vehicle on Canal Road in Bradford that was being driven on the grass embankment between the canal and the road.

The 29-year-old driver was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol). His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.

On Tuesday at about 9:50 p.m., police responded to a single-vehicle collision near Holland and Drury streets. The vehicle had struck a parked car and flipped onto its roof. The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution and later released.

The 40-year-old driver was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (excess blood-alcohol). Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
