Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a sexual assault that took place Thursday in Bradford.

At about 11:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to the report of a sexual assault that occurred on the east sidewalk of West Park Avenue, near the intersection with Miller Park Avenue.

A woman was walking with children southbound on West Park Avenue when she was grabbed by a male who was unknown to her. She pushed him away, went home and called police. She was not physically injured. The suspect left the scene in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as Black male, 16 to 18 years old, with a thin build, about 5’8” to 5’10” tall, with no facial hair, very short hair — almost a shaved head — and was wearing a blue T-shirt, dark, knee-length shorts, sneakers, and a black backpack.

Anyone with information, or who has security or dash camera video footage, is asked to contact Det.-Const. Dan Raymond at 905-775-3311, ext. 1027, or [email protected], or Crime Stoppers.
