On Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020, a South Simcoe Police Service officer investigated a possible impaired driver operating a tow truck on Holland Street West in Bradford. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected an odour of alcohol. A roadside screening device test registered a fail. The driver was arrested and transported to South Division where breath tests resulted in readings over the legal limit. As a result, a 50-year-old Bradford man was charged with impaired driving and over 80. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.

The driver was released with a future court date.

Around 2:30 p.m., police observed the accused driving his personal vehicle. The man was advised he was under suspension and prohibited from driving. As a result, he was charged with drive while under suspension. His personal vehicle was impounded for seven days.
