Two-vehicle crash sent five people to hospital Sunday morning

South Simcoe police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of the 25th Sideroad and 10th Line in Innisfil Jan. 28 at about 1:30 a.m.

One person was transported to a Toronto trauma centre following a serious collision in Innisfil early Sunday morning.

South Simcoe police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of the 25th Sideroad and 10th Line Jan. 28 at about 1:30 a.m. Officers allege a vehicle travelling northbound on the 25th, with four occupants inside, was struck by an eastbound vehicle. The eastbound vehicle, which had one person inside, had apparently failed to stop at a stop sign.  

Four patients were taken to a local hospital while a fifth was sent to Toronto. All injuries linked to the crash are considered to be non-life-threatening, police say.

A 64-year-old Innisfil man was charged with careless driving causing bodily harm.
