Luanne Campbell Edwards has contributed a wonderful archive of old photographs of Bradford to the BWG Public Library – including a series of photos of Holland Street, as it evolved over the decades.

There’s the turn of the 20th century photo of a dirt road, lined with trees, that shows the original post office and library (the white building at the right), in place until 1915. Next door is a large building identified as a laundry.

Then there is a photo from the 1920s. The trees are gone, replaced by telephone or telegraph poles.

Subsequent decades are also represented, providing a vision of changing Bradford through the years.

Details from the Archives at the BWG Public Library.
