Project Areas 2 & 3
Accardi Schaeffers has been retained to complete the detailed design work for the 2023 Urban Roads project. In order to support the detailed design, we will be conducting investigative works on site and you may see surveyors, geotechnical engineers, underground utility investigators, and arborists.
Investigative works will begin on January 8th, 2024 (weather dependent), and will take place over 2-3 weeks. Work will take place along Luxury Avenue, Kulpin Avenue, Fred Cook Drive and side streets as identified on the project map.
Additional Information
Subsurface utility investigations include the accurate establishment of underground utilities. This work is completed by creating vertical narrow shafts into the ground to confirm location and depth of the utility.
Geotechnical engineers will complete Boreholes along the roadways. A borehole is a vertical narrow shaft bored into the ground for the purpose of soil sampling and analysis.
All areas disturbed during the investigative work will be restored to original condition.
Investigations will require temporary lane closures, detouring, signage and traffic control to facilitate the works. Access to properties during the works will be maintained. This work is weather dependent and may be delayed if inclement weather arises. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your cooperation.
