Don't wait until the lights go out and the heat shuts down to prepare for a winter power failure!

Extremely hot and extremely cold weather periods are the worst times to experience a power failure - and also the most likely thanks to the storms that often accompany them.

WHERE DO I GET INFORMATION DURING AN EMERGENCY?

During emergencies, the Town of BWG posts information on Facebook and shares it with local media, including radio stations Rock 95 and 107.5 Kool FM. During a serious emergency in which extra support services are required (such as evacuation centres or water stations), the Town will partner with the 2-1-1 telephone information service to answer calls.

At ANY time, residents can dial 2-1-1 to speak to a real person who can provide advice on community services available to you.
