The Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library and Cultural Centre is proud to host Master Warrant Officer Ryan Gallagher for a free Veterans Week Speaker Event.

Join us on Wednesday, November 9, from 10:30 – 11:30 am in the Zima Room.

The presentation will focus on important military milestones in Canadian history alongside Mr. Gallagher’s personal deployment experiences in Afghanistan. It will be followed by a question and answer period. Refreshments will be served.  A Barrie native, Master Warrant Officer Ryan Gallagher is visiting Bradford with support from the Department of National Defense’s Veterans’ Week Speaker’s Program.

The Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library is also proud to commemorate Veterans’ Week and Remembrance Day with a display in the Atrium Display Case: an exhibition that shares the stories behind the local streets named after veterans, a spotlight series on local women who joined the World War One effort, a beautiful poppy quilt made by Bradford local Cheryl Blair, and more.

The Bradford Legion

The Bradford Legion is also hosting its cenotaph service at 10:30 am on November 11, at the branch (115 Back Street).

The Annual Remembrance Dinner is being held on November 12 at the Bradford Legion branch. Limited tickets are available at a cost of $25. Tickets are available at the bar or by calling 905-775-5025. Veterans eat for free.

Cocktails will begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m.
