Municipal elections are happening on October 24, 2022.  The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury encourages citizens to have a voice and take on leadership rolesas elected officials (council members) to represent the people in our community and provide direction on the policies and programs that will lead to better quality services.

Town of BWG GovernanceStructure
The Town is led by elected officials who make up Council. Town Council is currently comprised of 9 members who serve a 4-year term. The elected officials to be voted on in the 2022 Municipal Election consists of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and 7 Ward Councillors.

 

Eligibility

  • Must be eligible to vote in the municipality.
  • Resides in the local municipality or is the owner or tenant of land there, or the spouse of such
    owner or tenant.
  • A Canadian citizen.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Not otherwise prohibited from voting.
  • Not disqualified by any legislation.

The candidate nomination period is open until August 19th at 2:00 pm

All required forms, ward maps, andinformation for candidates are available at the Clerks office during regular office hours and/or at: www.townofbwg.com/election.
