It’s that time of year again! Each year, from December 1 to April 1, BWG’s Winter Parking Restrictions are in effect, prohibiting on-street parking between the hours of 2 am and 6 am.

Toys for Tickets
To help local families and businesses and alleviate the sting of a holiday-season parking ticket, the Town will once again hold its Toys for Tickets program. If you receive a parking ticket from the Town of BWG from December 1-14 for overnight on-street parking, you can “pay” the ticket by donating new toys!

Toys must be new, unwrapped, in their original packaging, and total the amount (including taxes) of your fine. All participants must provide the store receipt showing the item(s) and dollar amount. In support of local businesses, toys must also be purchased at a store in BWG.

To participate in the program, visit the Town of BWG Administration Office (100 Dissette St., Units 7&8) by December 16th with your tickets and toys. The Administration office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

All toys will be donated to our local Helping Hand Food Bank and Adopt a Family Christmas Wish Program.

Of course, you don’t have to get a ticket to help. Toys and gift card donations will be accepted at our Administration Office and other locations. You can also donate online.

Exceptions
Where posted, on-street parking in Downtown Bradford is prohibited between the hours of
3 and 6 am to accommodate businesses that are open later. Downtown Bradford is defined as Holland Street West to Holland Court, Holland Street East to Nelson Street, Simcoe Road South to Centre Street, Barrie Street North to John Street.

BWG’s Winter Parking Restriction is also lifted on January 1 of each year to encourage safe New Year’s Eve celebrations.
