Throughout 2021, we have been providing monthly goals for putting together materials for your home emergency preparedness kit. The goal? To have a complete 72-hour kit ready by the end of the year.

If you weren’t following along, it’s not too late! Visit our BWG Prepared webpage for the complete list of items you need to look after yourself and your family for 72 hours following an emergency.

WHY DO YOU NEED A 72-HOUR KIT?

This past year has been full of examples of how a 72-hour kit could be important to your family. Whether it’s a house fire, tornado or lengthy power outage, having your kit in your front closet where you can grab it on the way out the door can make the difference between fear and chaos or comfort and security while you are sheltering away from home. In every one of these emergency situations, having your own change of clothes, a spare set of car keys, a bit of cash and some convenient snacks is a huge bonus to everyone who has them on hand.

Take the BWG Prepared Challenge and be ready for anything that comes in 2022!
