Baseball scores: Bradford team scores big against Innisfil in semi-finals

BradfordToday, in partnership with the Bradford Minor Baseball Association, brings you a regular feature highlighting local baseball scores

All games were played between July 1-9.

Bradford Select Hardball

The Bradford Mosquito Select team participated in a tournament in Vaughan July 6-8.

They won their first three games against Brampton (12-3), Innisfil (21-8), Vaughan (28-12), which took them to the quarter-finals.

The quarter-finals game was incredibly close, but the team came out on top with an exciting 6-5 win against Innisfil.

In the semi-finals, Bradford Storm battled Mississauga Majors and, despite many great moments, they could not catch Mississauga and lost 27-22.

Bantam Softball

Remax Wilson Verduga earned another victory over visiting EGMSA1 posting a final score of 20 to 6.

Paige M. went three-for-three with a triple and two home runs, scored two runs and brought in seven RBIs. She also threw out a runner trying to steal third.

Thomas M. went two-for-two with a walk, a home run and a triple, scoring two runs and added one RBI.

Royalty Stone beat out BMBA Team No. 2 18-15. Jace homered for Royalty Stone, Sarah M. had two hits and an RBI, and Jando had two doubles.

Mite Softball

Bradford Home Hardware continued their strong play with a 10-7 win over EG1 Foodland. Despite the soaring temperature, the team remained focused and enthusiastic, lead by Emma and Nick M. Great job!

Robert W. Ratusny Barrister & Solicitor beat the Jets Hockey 11-9.

From team Robert W. Ratusny, great hits from Faith, Tempest C. and Graydon, and fantastic pitching from Jadyn and Faith.

Peewee Softball

Bradford battled back from a deficit to tie the game 16-16 against Stouffville’s Farmer Jack's.

Senior Rookie Hardball

Ryan’s Landscaping took on MFC Landscaping on a hot Tuesday night and came away with a 10-7 win.

Great defensive plays from Ryan’s Landscaping by Riley at first base. This was followed up by Charlie at pitcher to Riley again at first for the second out!

Charlie and Jordan both caught tricky pop-flys.

In the bottom of the sixth, Anthony made a great play from pitcher to Conner at third for an out! Of special mention, Jacob made it to base for every at-bat!

Maria Chiodo RMT beat out Bellamy Sports 22-19. Team RMT came out with bats on fire in this game, scoring a total of 12 runs in the first three innings.

Special mention goes out to Adam with three singles and a total of three RBIs, and to David M., who had a single, double and a triple.

Great defensive playing by Evan B., David M., Bradley F., and Michael L., who have become a great defensive line.

Junior Rookie Hardball

Carron Farms won 10-7 over Innisfil Cardinals.

A fantastic game played with the inclusion of Ethan P., a T-ball call up with three hits.

Solid defence from Tanner P. and another fantastic offensive evening from Cameron C. with several key big hits.
