The Orange Team beat Vin Bon 15-4. Team Vin Bon came out swinging hard with lots of energy but had a little trouble making connection with the ball during the first two innings. Players were very supportive of each other and team cheers kept the team inspired. Brayden had several great swings, and Reily was very energetic in her speed rounding the bases, after a solid hit to get on base. Adriano had several great throws from first base and chased down a number of grounders.

Later in the week, Team Vin Bon bounced back with a 14-2 win against Desjardin Insurance, Debbie Moran. Strong start from Christian at shortstop, stopping a blistering ground ball, and launching it all the way to first base where it was picked up by Taylor for a spectacular out. The team managed to earn four runs during their first at bat, as players managed to connect with ball and get on base.

Matthew played a great backcatcher, and with his great arm was able to return ball to Dejardin’s pitcher without a bounce. The team managed to get five runs in the second and third inning with a couple of really big hits, and finished the game with a score of 14-2. Great job team Vin Bon, and the coaches are looking forward to seeing you on the field again!

Bradford was well represented in Kincardine this past weekend. After twice beating the home team, Kincardine, Bradford made it to the finals against Mitchell. After being down seven runs a few innings in, the Storm managed to pull ahead 11-10, but then let in two runs in the bottom of the seventh and lost 12-11. A second place finish to be proud of!

Despite a cool night on the diamond the Many Hands, Doing Good pitchers were throwing the heat. William T., Riley P., Marshall R. and Alex T., all threw some excellent pitches through four innings. The Many Hands, Doing Good bats came alive late in the game with a five-run rally, but it wasn't enough to overcome the offence and they lost 18-8 against Innisfil 1.
