Police identify pedestrian in fatal hit-and-run Holland Street crash

Police are still requesting help from the public to further the investigation. No charges have been laid to date

After an intensive and still ongoing investigation, South Simcoe Police Service Traffic investigators were able to track down a vehicle of interest in the Oct. 27, 2018 fatal collision in Bradford. The vehicle was seized on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018 under the authority of a warrant and is being held at the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto for a thorough forensic examination. A person of interest has also been identified.

The female pedestrian killed in the collision has been identified as 40-year-old Cheryl Carre of Bradford. 

One vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene. 

Police are still requesting help from the public to further the investigation. No charges have been laid to date. Investigators would like to remind the public that these are very complex investigations that require time and resources but most of all patience in order to be completed thoroughly.
